Thank you for coming to learn about Home Theater Helpers.
A bit about me...
I'm Brett and I’ve worked in the Professional AudioVisual Industry in Boston until recently. I have established many great manufacturer contacts and have been provided with hundreds of hours of training
with these manufacturers rep’s and application engineers. I moved to Denver
in 2003 after the publicly traded, national company I was a regional transactional sales manager for filed chapter 11. I was one of many that were laid off and my position was eliminated. I enjoyed what I did a lot but I always thought it would be wonderful to have my own business, focused
on the home market. My constant attention to customer service and honesty has
created long term clients and referrals while working with companies & organizations in my past. I look forward to offering that same professional excellence to new clients and to create and grow a local
business helping people with their Home Theaters and A/V Systems.
In my career
in the audiovisual industry, I have found a missing and very needed service in the home audiovisual (A/V) market, so I’ve
decided to start my own business and offer this service. I've noticed that there
is little or no support for customers once they get their A/V systems home and setting them up.
This service allows anyone to have a Professionally
Trained and Internationally Certified A/V Technology Specialist to come to your home, examine your A/V System, and give you
the opportunity to discuss everything from the best order to do your equipment upgrades, advice on choosing a new display
device based on your room & ambient light, and to ask all the questions you’ve wanted answered about A/V and Home
Theaters or we can even start working on the Home Theater of your dreams building as you can afford it with cables and wall
plates installed and run in advance. Cable management has become a very popular
service, I can turn a snake pit of wires into something so impressive you’ll want to show your guests. Wall plates, custom cables, custom designed universal remote control (that really control everything),
upgrading & replacing the coax cable through-out your home (replace with high bandwidth digital coax RG-6), and anything
else you could need.
Manufacturers
supply complex manuals to how the system runs but with the huge changes in Home Theater components it has been almost impossible
for consumers to keep up and to understand how to wire and setup setting changes for optimal performance. I have been fortunate to work in the Professional A/V Industry and have been train by every major manufacturer
in small open question forums. I have an extensive knowledge of products as well
as the technology and how they work. This allows me to better help you and because
I understand the difference in each technology, I can recommend the best product for my clients based on their budget, existing
equipment and future scalability.
How many salespeople have been able to answer your most technical questions? Able explain to you how the technology
you’re inquiring about works? Or even the difference in how Projector technologies vary (LCD, DLP, D-ILA, LCoS) and
based on your application, which would be the best for you?
Being an educated
consumer will save you money and will also keep you from disappointment and confusion finding out afterwards equipment you
purchased isn't compatible with your existing equipment or doesn’t have the proper input, output signal, processors
or connector types (optical audio, coaxial digital audio, component, S-Video, BNC or RCA).
I pride myself on being an honest, well-informed, caring, and helpful person, which is reflected, in my work ethic.
After continually helping friends and
family with their AudioVisual system and problems they've encountered, I’ve decided to start my own business and help
people to enjoy their Home A/V Systems more to their fullest potential.
Most Home A/V Systems are not configured optimally. In many cases with
a minor few changes in hardware settings, speaker locations, and/or cables changes, your Home Theater System will sound like
you’ve never imagined before. On average, for about $85 – $200, I
can come into your home and within 1 to 2 hours your A/V System will be very obviously improved.
In my A/V career I have supported large
organizations with enormous and demanding A/V requirements like: Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb, Harvard University, Genzyme,
Mitre Corp, USAF, US Army, Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, Tyco and many others.
Now I’d like to support consumers in the ever-changing
world of home theater.
I’ve been fortunate enough to attended InfoComm, many individual manufacturers
training sessions (at the manufacturers training facilities), and other A/V Industry events throughout North America. While attending these events I have been able to see the future of A/V and what will
be available in several years for your home. Some of these include 3-D Plasma
Displays (without 3-D Glasses) and other new technologies not yet available like Blue Lasers for DVD players; (they will be
used because the bandwidth in a blue laser is far greater than the bandwidth in a traditional red laser. This is being developed to be able to create and to play HD-DVD’s.
With my years of experience
and education and the passion that drives me, you can count on me to support you, your Home Theater, A/V System, or even your
Car A/V System.
No matter what the problem is I can help you!!
Brett
